      History

This organization is named Student Activity Unit of Science and Technology University of Muhammadiyah Purworejo, hereinafter abbreviated as UKM Saintek UM Purworejo. Ukm Science and Technology University of Muhammadiyah Purworejo was established at Muhammadiyah University Purworejo in February 2008.

The beginning of the establishment of Uk, science and technology  hope can accommodate student creativity program (PKM) in 2008. With its first name is Ukm Science and Reasoning, who first served as chairman at that time that is Mr. Enan from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Study Program Mathematics education. At the beginning of the stand, at that time the PKM that was stabbed by one of the students successfully escaped funded by kemenristekdikti to PIMNAS, held in Denpasar, Bali. They managed to get a silver / bronze medal.

      What Activities

in the organization of course there is a series of events that have been made by the administrators for the existence of an organization. In the ukm science itself, there are regular activities held annually namely, PIM (Student Scientific Week) which consists of three events. The first is the PKM 5 Field Workshop, which is a seminar attended by all the students who have signed up and present a speaker to fill the course of the event and also describe how to make a good and correct proposal to get away and be funded by kemenristekdikti. The second event, PKM competition, which all participants who have attended the workshop, continued with scientific writing competition, that is by sharpening their writing skills and bring up creative ideas that poured into a proposal, then the proposal will be judged by the campus reviewer and after that, by the organizing committee will be determined who the winner is and the best proposal will get certificate and coaching money. And the last event is EXPO PKM 5 Field, which is an exhibition of works of students who pass the proposal funded by kemenristekdikti. Those who qualify must hold exhibitions or socialization to other students and realize the outcomes contained in the proposal they have made.

In addition to regular PIM events held every year, there are also other activities of the field of entrepreneurship that sells flowers that have been decorated beautifully for sale at the time of graduation ceremony. And then from the field of technology, there is a kind of public corel draw application training that can be attended by all students, to be more adept at using corel draw applications. because there are many advantages gained if someone mastered this one application.

And also from the field of science, there is a Film Review held during Ramadhan, which is attended by all ukm of science and technology and alumni. The activities consist of sahur together, tadarus al-qur'an, breaking the fast, and in the evening talking with alumni ukm of science and technology.

      Member Requirements

The character of Ukm of  Science and Technology is Critical, Progressive, Scientific, Amaliyah, Religious, and Humanist.

Basic requirements:

1. Active student of University Muhammadiyah Purworejo (maximum of 3 semester)

2. Fill out and complete the registration form 

3. Applicant must fill out and complete the form (identity) for the validity of the candidate member

4. Follow the training event 

5. Interview

6. Attend members' annual deliberation meetings
